Chris earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. While in law school, Chris was selected by his peers and faculty to serve on the School of Law’s two law journals: The Brandeis Law Journal, and The Journal of Law and Education. Chris’ excellence in trial advocacy also resulted in him receiving the Miller and Chavalier Scholarship and the Chief Justice Joseph Lambert Scholarship. In his final year of law school, Chris won the Pirtle Washer Moot Court Competition, a 50-year old trial advocacy skills competition designed to select the most outstanding trial advocate at the School of Law.
Following law school, Chris began his legal career as a defense lawyer at one of Kentucky’s largest law firms, where, for nearly a decade, he defended insurance companies, physicians, hospitals and large corporations. Over the past several years, Chris has focused his practice on representing real people, with real injuries.
As a former defense lawyer, Chris knows and understands how insurance companies and defense lawyers think. His experience on both sides of the law provides him with the ability to evaluate cases from both the plaintiff and defense perspective. Chris has tried cases as both a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer and a defense lawyer. That experience allows him to effectively evaluate each case and helps maximize recovery for clients of The Haden Law Office.
In 2013, Chris was selected by his peers to be included among the Kentucky Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Less than 3% of eligible attorneys in Kentucky achieve this prestigious recognition.
In 2014, Chris was named to the 2014 Kentucky Super Lawyer list, which is a distinction less than 5% of all attorneys in Kentucky achieve.
